I bought the black coat and got positive feedback from people. It makes you look rough and tough like a cowboy, etc. It has a classic Sherlock Holmes (detective) looks too.

I have had many commments as to how well the product looked. I have been asked who makes it and where can the obtain one. I purchased my first long duster about 3 yrs ago, this year I purchased another long and one short. My first one is still in great condition and wear it more often than I do the new ones that I have purchased. It being water proof and windd resistant helps me greatly during the winter months. I am very pleased with all my purchasses and would recommend this item to anyone. Just make me one in hunter green.

This coat is just what I wanted. The short duster looks great without being showy. Keeps out the wet. Good quality fit and features. I ordered the brown, but the color I received was much darker than the picture. It matches the hat better than the brown, so I'm keeping it. This is not meant to be a winter coat, but layered with a good fleece or wool liner will make it one.

Husband showed me this on line and I kind of blew it off...As soon as he left the room I ordered it for him for Xmas! He was so surprised and excited to find it under the tree...Really really nice coat! (Unfortunately I had to ship back yesterday as I ordered Large and should have ordered Medium! this cut is ideal when you don't want to wear duster length but you want the quality of a oilskin jacket, warm and waterproof, really like the split sides for bike road trips, no bunching. the sizing appeals to me as I don't like a snug fit ,so the XL for me at 220lbs, 5'11" and broad upper body is just what I needed.

I bought this garment several months ago and it has been subjected to continuous hard work around the stables, much of it in the famous Scottish rain that forgets to stop once it starts. The jacket has stood up to everything and has remained totally waterproof. It is cut to be comfortable and safe in the saddle. My wife liked the jacket and I bought her one too. Best value, best performing wax cotton riding/working jacket I have found.

I love this coat. It is perfect for the wet, bone-chilling days we get in the winter. Also, stands up to the torrential rains we get in spring and fall. The cape really keeps your shoulders dry and the coat is surprisingly flexible and does not restrict your movement. The coat is roomy enough to wear a fleece, down or wool sweater underneath. This will keep you dry and warm in the wettest and windyest weather. Would not recommend for really cold climate zones where daytime temps are frequently below freezing.

I am a female, and I finally, broke down and bought my self one of these in the shorter length. Have always wanted one. So, glad I did. This jacket is quality all the way! Well made. Love how it is roomy and can move around. Good sizing. Sleeves are too long but I will deal with that. Love it. Should of bought one years ago! Highly recommend! The length is perfect for what I am looking for and love the snaps on the side. It's a bit heavy in weight but it's thin and you can move around in it and lots of pockets.

This is the best rain jacket I have ever had. Keeps me dry in torrential downpours yet breathes so I don't sweat in the summer. What's the point of staying dry from the rain when you will drown in your own sweat? My wife now wants one! The XL on my 5'10' & 220# frame fits comfortably with room for a light jacket or sweatshirt in cooler weather.

I had been wanting an oil skin jacket or coat for awhile. Searched locally and on the internet. I found the best prices and selection here at Sheplers. I prefer to try clothing items on, especially if I am not familiar with them before I buy. I am 6'2" and 230#, so I ordered the 2XL. Fits perfect. Enough room to layer or to wear it on cool days. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and price. I couldn't decide between this short duster or the rancher jacket, so I bought both. Sure glad I did. This jacket will work well on cool days, but it enough room to layer on colder days.

Love the jacket - blocks the wind and rain well, if it’s chilly you really want t have a layer or two under it, I ordered a lint brush to clean it off with - due to the fact that I ride a white horse and her little tiny hairs get all over it. But other than than I really like it and the big front pockets great for holding my cell phone when I ride.
