      Great coat! I'm a rugged guy and I need a coat to be just as rugged. Tough material on the outside soft on the inside and very very warm. Nice heavy coat!. I wish it automatically came with a hood but it doesn't you have to buy hood separately. Other than that I absolutely love this coat.

      Really solid jacket but I can’t help but note that the zipper and everything is really solidly built but then they put these chintzy Velcro patches on in place of metal snap buttons (as is shown) kind of disappointing design decision and they need to update the model photo to reflect this.

      Coat fades when washed and velco will fray the coat. I washed it once and it lost a lot of color. Coat has grey lines all over it. Don't buy black!! I got the hood on mine and the velco tore up the coats outer layer and stitching. Had to cover the velco before it rips all the stitching out of my shoulder. Only wore it 3 months.

      I work in the oil industry. i was very disappointed that it didn't have an opening in the back to hook a SRL through. Fall harness are meant to be under it otherwise you need 2 different sizes!!!! very poor planning on Carhartt side!!! Secondly, I am pretty disappointed that you are now mandating covid vaccine!!!! the oilfield will turn its back on you so will most of the construction industry!!!! hate to say but I will never again buy Carhart again!!!!!

      I have worn this coat in the Western Oklahoma oilfield for 5 years. It has held up well. The coat is warm,but for me anything below 30 and I am putting layers on underneath it. It does have room for layers without being overly bulky. The zipper is big and tuff and has given me no issues. The black color fades to gray pretty quick if you work hard and wash it very often. Over all I would recommend this coat. - Carhartt I would like to see a full swing fr coat that is black, has the heavy duty zipper and is the same length as this coat. Those are the reasons I haven't bought a new coat yet. Just for reference I am in my early 30's size L and I DONT want a coat that stops right at my waist.

      I am very disappointed. The coat had snaps along the zipper in the advertised photos, but when I got the coat there were no snaps, instead, velcro. I feel a little cheated from the false advertising, even though it is a small detail. Nevertheless I bought this coat because of the snaps, and now I will be returning it. Otherwise cool coat, I just can't stand velcro.

      Image depicts buttons on wind flap, but mine was velcro when I got it, do not like that nor do I think velcro is going to last very long, I have no idea why they changed that and it made me want to return it, but its about to be cold so lucky me I guess.

      Nice coat. Zipper and Velcro makes operation difficult.

      Coat is fine. The part I don't like is the double zipper. It can be very difficult to operate. Would really rather have standard zipper. Also Velcro on pockets make them difficult to use.

      The waist draw string has NO PLASTIC SPRING LOADED STOPPER like my old carhartt coat. There is NO METAL EYELETS for the waist tightening rope. The ZIPPER IS TOO CLOSE TO THE COAT and is impossible to zip up. Sewwen right in to the seam. My old coat, there is a 1 inch gap between the zipper and coat. The double zipper is pointless and is impossible to zip up into the other zipper that is sewwen into the seam with no spacing in between. I am very disappointed with this quality. This NEW carhartt coat is junk compared to my old 30 year old Carhartt coat. But I just had to have this New coat because it is Fire Resistant for work. The quality was there 30 years ago, but it sure is not today and dont give me any BS carhartt knows what there doing CUTTING QUALITY.

      Nice fit. Does fade a little after the first wash, but also breaks it in and makes it look more rugged. So depends on your preference. I love it.

      I bought this coat and am very satisfied with it in every way but I am having difficulty with getting a detachable hood, the jacket has 5 male snaps under the collar but the hood that I ordered only has 4 female snaps. This won't work. Can you help me in this matter?
